Orangutan Release at Kaja Island

Kaja Island, located in the Rungan River near Palangkaraya in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia, serves as a vital pre-release site for orangutans. Managed by the Borneo Orangutan Survival (BOS) Foundation, the island provides a semi-wild environment where rehabilitated orangutans can adapt to natural conditions before their final release into the wild. This transition phase helps them develop necessary survival skills, such as foraging and nest-building, while under careful monitoring by conservationists. TD1 :Airport – Palangkaraya – Tangkiling – Hotel (L,D)
Upon your arrival at Tjilik riwut airport then meeting and greeting with the guide then proceed to city tour to visit Nyaru Menteng at certain date (the rehabilitation center of orangutan), lunch at local restaurant then proceed to Tangkiling to observe the river crocodiles, dinner and check in at hotel.

D2 : Hotel – Palangkaraya – Rungan river – Hotel (B, L, D)
After breakfast at your hotel then continue to visit Belanga Museum, rattan handycraft, dayak traditional market and soevenier market, lunch at local restaurant, then cruising at Kahayan river and Rungan river to visit the Kaja Island as the island for releasing the orangutan, afternoon return back to hotel, dinner and free program

D3 : Hotel – Palangkaraya – Airport (B)
